The Montreal Angels cleaned up at the 2012 AFL Quebec Awards night this past Saturday, with no bigger accolade than Margo Legault's well deserved induction into the "Hall of Fame". Making the switch from rugby in 2009, Margo's list of achievements in four years is remarkable. A key player in the Angels early wins, she also claimed the OAFL Rookie of the week award in 2009 after an impressive two goals on debut for the Quebec Saints. Things would only get better in 2010 playing for Canada and captaining the Angels to the Canadian Nationals title. This was topped off with an AFL Quebec premiership medal playing for the Pointe Claire Power and an OAFL Division 2 Premiership medal playing with the Quebec Saints men's squad. A key player for Canada at IC, Margo was voted player of the tournament by Canada carrying on her national duties again suiting up for the Northern Lights in 2012.
The accolades wouldn't end there, Margo earning a nod for the AFL Quebec Team of the Year for 2012. Kate Allbon-Sargeant's fantastic year was also acknowledged when she was awarded "Angel of the Year". Kate's stellar all-round year topped off with an AFL Quebec premiership medallion.
